In this package we pick up our guest at 2 PM from the Desert Harmony Resort Registered Office which is located at Mali Para, Near ICICI Bank ATM, Jaisalmer or we pick up our guest from our registered hotel partner or we pick up them from their hotel.

The Overnight Camel Safari is a great option for those who want to live the nomadic desert life and want to connect with off-beat routes of Real Desert. This camel safari package offers you the freedom to enjoy the beautiful sunset and sunrise in the desert along with sleeping under the stars at night in beautiful isolated desert.

In this camel safari package first you will visit Kuldhara village which is a haunted abandoned 200 hundred years old ghost village of Jaisalmer then you will visit beautiful and amazing natural water Oasis in desert, The Jaseri Lake which is an important water source for local villagers, farmers and animals and then you will visit Khaba Fort which is a ruined citadel set amid a barren desert village Which is an architecturally impressive landmark full of eeriness, history and mysticism. And then we will proceed to the camel point where you will be welcomed by our friendly guide or camel man Roja and you will also be introduced our beautiful camels Mamamia and Jony Walker.

After mounting on the camels, you will ride into the desert where you can enjoy the Camel Ride in the isolated deserted dunes. Enjoy the ride for about one and a half hour and witness the picturesque sunset from the desert and capture the mesmerizing views in the evening. The views around the surroundings will leave you to spellbound. The setting sun leaves its most amazing imprints in your heart and soul that you will never forget. After enjoying the sunset view, you will reach the camping site with the help of camel ride itself. After reaching camp site begin your evening with enjoying delicious refreshments (tea & snacks). The self-cooking event in the open fire is the most amazing part where this group activity calls for effort and ideas of everyone for making a simple yet delicious food. The fun of cooking food in the most extraordinary location in the sand dunes is an exceptional experience. Enjoy the delicious dinner with songs & chit-chats with the folks in the camp.

After dinner your bed will be ready by our team with clean mattresses and blankets and you will enjoy your sleeping in the cool desert breeze wrapping you around in a cosy blanket. Sleep under the thousands of twinkling stars over your head and live the night in a new way and feel a deep connection with Mother Nature. Next day following morning enjoy the sunrise with hot tea and delicious breakfast. After breakfast enjoy camel ride for half-n- hour and proceed to jeep point and then you will be dropped to your accommodation in Jaisalmer at 10 AM by Jeep.

Tour Tabs

Departure at 2 PM by Jeep.
You'll visit the ghost village Kuldhara, Serene Oasis Jaseri Lake and the Khaba Fort on your way to the Camel point.
You'll receive a warm welcome by friendly guides and healthy camels.
Enjoy a camel ride of about 90 minutes (one person per camel only).
Enjoy watching the beautiful sunset along with some snacks.
Eat a delicious freshly cooked dinner prepared by our guides.
Adequate packaged drinking water will be available all day long.
Enjoy the beautiful night sky with a glimpse of the galaxy.
Sleep under the stars (a bed with mattress, pillow and blankets will be provided).
Next morning, wake up to a beautiful sunrise.
Eat a healthy breakfast after sunrise and enjoy the camel ride for about one and a half hours.
Arrival at Jaisalmer by Jeep at around 10 AM.

Full jeep support

Freshly-prepared vegetarian meals (breakfast), chai/coffee, snacks, and plenty of bottled water. Menu will be sent on request by email. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Free pick-up service from your hotel/transport on the day of your safari. Just let us know your hotel name. Pick-up time is half an hour before the scheduled start of your safari. Otherwise, the starting point will be our office or our decided point (reporting time: half an hour before the scheduled start of your safari).

Long-sleeved shirt and long trousers.

Sunglasses, sunhat, and scarf. (We don’t recommend wearing contact lenses as the very fine sand can easily get behind them. Please bring your prescription glasses instead.)

During winter, a warm jacket or shawl for the evening and early morning.

Toiletries.

A torch (flashlight) – no light source is available at the campsite.

Camera (be very careful with electronic equipment as the sand can easily enter the mechanism).

Please bring any medication you think you might need.

Music & Dance Programmes: This consists of a group of 4/5 singers, dancers, and musicians from the local gypsy community, performing Marwari music and playing traditional instruments. The performance lasts for approximately two hours.

We can arrange a private performance for you/your group, or you can choose to share the performance with any other guests who happen to be on safari with you. Please note that guests who have not specifically requested the music & dance programme may choose to contribute but are under no obligation to share the cost.

Non-Veg: Our regular trips come with vegetarian food (daal, rice, chapatti, vegetable curries, pakora, etc.). Non-veg can also be provided at an additional cost. Both mutton and chicken are available and will be cooked fresh at the campsite. Please enquire for further details.

Camel Carts: Our camel carts can seat a maximum of 4 people and are suggested for those who may not want to ride camels for long periods of time, as well as for groups with young children. Additional charges apply.

Private Safari: Usually, we form a group from the guests who book for a particular day, but if you’d prefer a private trip — riding and camping away from other guests — this can be arranged at an additional cost. Just let us know at the time of booking.

Note: You may have to share a jeep with other customers unless you wish to hire a private jeep. We require a minimum of two people to arrange a private safari.

Children: Children aged 4–6 are half-price and must share a camel with a responsible adult guardian. Children aged 7 and over are charged full price and can ride their own camel at their guardian’s discretion. There is no charge for children under the age of 4.

We do not recommend overnight safaris for very young children, but are happy to recommend our half-day tour.

For safety reasons, children under the age of 4 will not be permitted to ride camels, even when accompanied by an adult, as both parties need to be capable of holding on to the saddle horn/ropes for the duration of the ride. They must remain in the jeep and be accompanied by an adult guardian at all times.

Campfire: Campfires are lit during the winter months (approximately November–February, dependent on the weather). We do not light campfires during the summer months as the light can attract insects to the campsite.

Please note that no fixed light source is available at the campsite for the same reason. We recommend bringing your own torch (flashlight) and limiting its use.

Jeep-only Option: While the desert landscape is best experienced from the back of a camel, the jeep is available for anyone who cannot or does not wish to ride. If you would like to try a shorter ride at the dunes just to experience camel riding, this can be arranged.

Please note that the jeep route is mostly on roads and farm tracks. It does not follow the camel route and is not a dedicated “jeep safari” as such — just an alternative means of reaching the campsite.

Facilities: Please note that there are no washing or bathroom facilities available after leaving Jaisalmer.

Please try to minimize the use of toilet paper, as it spoils the dunes and is difficult and unpleasant for our staff to clean up. We recommend adopting the local method of washing with water.

If you do use toilet paper, please do not bury it or leave it in the open. Either bag and bin it or burn it (matches can be provided). Wet wipes must be bagged and returned to town for disposal.

Please help us keep the desert tidy by returning all your litter to camp.

The Agency will not be responsible or liable for any problems associated with the consumption of alcohol or drugs during the trip.

The Agency does not accept responsibility for any adverse weather conditions you might encounter during your safari.

We have our own professional guides and drivers, so outside guides and drivers are not allowed on our safaris.

We kindly ask you not to compare the Thar Desert with the Sahara Desert or Egyptian sand dunes.

This is a real adventure desert safari, so there are no washrooms, no electricity, and no mobile network available.
